RVA Supported Projects

These are projects run by different voluntary and community organisations with support from RVA that can range from assisiting with running the finances, project management or resources:

Drill Hall Young Peoples Project.

Run by Bexhill Young Peoples' Services, this project runs activities and sports sessions in 2 location in the deprived wards of Bexhill for young people between 11 and 18. The activities runs from arts, drama and music to indoor and outdoor sports, weekend activities and a youth club. So far over 400 young people have accessed the project in the last 2 years.

Neighbourhood Gardening Project

Run by the Bexhill Community Partnership and Hadlow College, this project has revitalised an underused set of allotments in Sidley and enabled participants of the project to received City and Guilds qualifications in gardening.

Bexhill Reminiscence Project

Run by the Bexhill Community Partnership the reminiscence project is attempting to connect older people of the town with younger people in relaxed and entertaining ways

    Download a short analysis of the 2007 Indices of Multiple deprivation for Rother.

    The data shows that there is an overall decrease in Rother's overall IMD Ranking. This may suggest an increase in deprivation in Rother and/or Rother slipping behind other areas in economic growth and social investment. This is particularly noticeable in large parts of Bexhill and Eastern Rother (Rye).
