A new website for young people in East Sussex has been launched– www.connexions360.org.uk. It is designed to give 11-19 year-olds access to all the information they need in a way which works for them.
The website includes information and advice on all aspects of life in East Sussex – including travel, work and money, health and advice, school and education and things to do. It also has a ‘What’s on your doorstep’ search where young people can find out what’s going on in their local area. They will be able to find out how to get their voices heard and read life stories submitted by young people across the county.
As well as providing lots of information for young people, the site also has a fun side. It will feature regular quizzes and competitions with great prizes.
Connexions 360 is the new name for the Connexions service in East Sussex. The Service brings together all the information, advice, guidance and support young people aged 13-19 need through a network of Connexions Personal Advisers (PAs) and other practitioners. For young people with special needs, Connexions PAs offer support up to the age of 25.
Connexions PAs are linked to schools and colleges; statutory agencies (like youth support teams; the Leaving Care Team and the Youth Offending Team); Connexions Centres; One-stop Shops; Youth Centres and community centres. Many also offer support on an outreach basis
