The independent Living Service is available to anyone in the East Sussex area who needs help to live independently. They can help you by giving free unbiased information and advice. You can then make informed choices about the things you need and the services available. They can also identify and recommend small items of equipment to help you with day to day living. They have an extensive knowledge of services available in your area and dedicated local advisers. The service is free of charge although some of the services discussed with you may charge.

Some of the things they can advise on are:

  • Small aids and equipment;

  • Community Alarms;

  • Energy and Efficiency;

  • Exercise and Wellbeing Classes;

  • Social Activities and Learning;

  • Accessing Care Services in your home;

  • Handyman’s Services

  • Benefits Advice.

  • Carers Services
